How does the modular design work in practice?
It works quite simply in that you can just remove the detachable (and washable) cover from the bed, and take out one or more of the modules (bed frame with legs + pocket spring mattress), after which you then have 2 beds. For these beds, you only need legs, mattress topper and cover, which you can buy here in the shop, or in most regular bed stores.
Example:
You are a family of 2 adults and a small child, who buy a 270 cm Family Bed and sleep comfortably in it for as long as necessary. A 270 x 200 cm Family Bed consists of 3 pieces of 90 cm bed bases (bed frame + pocket spring mattress), and when the child is old enough to move to their own room, you can separately order legs, mattress topper and cover that fit your new adult bed of 180 x 200 cm and your new junior bed of 90 x 200 cm respectively. These can be purchased here in the shop, in most well-stocked bed stores, or the existing items can be altered by a tailor, or if you are a bit handy yourself.
Overview of the construction of our Family Beds
All our Family Beds consist of “standard” size modules (bed frame / frame and pocket spring mattresses) in widths of 80 cm, 90 cm, 105 cm, 120 cm and 140 cm. With these standard bed modules combined into one bed base, we have created all the Family Bed sizes in our range.
When you need to divide your Family Bed into several adult or junior beds, you can find everything you need for the
new standard double or single beds, including mattress topper, cover, and extra bed legs, right here.
