FAMBED® 60-nights sleep guarantee
At FamBed, we know how important sleep is for having a well-functioning family with the energy to handle everyday life.
That’s why we offer a 60-nights “Sleep Guarantee”, allowing you and your family to calmly get used to your new bed and sleeping setup, or return the bed if you’re not satisfied.
Note: Design Choices
Before placing your FamBed order, it’s important to be aware of a few of our design decisions that make FamBed the optimal bed for co-sleeping. This is important because some of these design choices may differ from certain personal preferences regarding mattress firmness, bed height, etc., which could make a FamBed less ideal for some people. Read about these design choices below:
Natural Latex Mattress Topper – Not Memory Foam
In every aspect of our bed design, we’ve focused on “value for money” – but the topper is one area where we refuse to compromise.
The mattress topper defines much of the comfort and is the layer closest to your and your family’s skin.
We’ve chosen to make the topper core from 100% natural latex. This is a more expensive material than Memory Foam and other alternatives, meaning we could have made a much cheaper product with Memory Foam.
…BUT – we, along with many bedding experts, believe latex is a superior material compared to Memory Foam when it comes to mattresses and toppers.
The choice of natural latex is based on its factual advantages, especially regarding safe and comfortable co-sleeping – even though it comes at a higher cost.
Here’s a short summary of the key pros and cons of Natural Latex vs. Memory Foam:
Natural latex is antibacterial and natural, unlike Memory Foam, which can introduce unwanted properties such as chemical emissions, moisture retention, and permanent or semi-permanent indentations.
Natural latex provides progressive support that temporarily adapts to your body but quickly returns to its original form – unlike Memory Foam, which is not recommended for safe co-sleeping, as it creates semi-permanent or permanent dips in the surface.
Some prefer the “sinking-in” comfort of Memory Foam, which is fair – but it’s not considered ideal for co-sleeping and goes against most sleep experts’ advice to avoid overly soft sleeping surfaces.

Medium to Firm Progressive Support Mattresses
The preference for soft or firm sleep surfaces is subjective. However, most research suggests that sleeping on a surface that’s too soft isn’t natural or healthy.
Additionally, when it comes to co-sleeping, there are safety reasons for avoiding overly soft mattresses. Our medium-firm progressive support ensures comfortable and safe co-sleeping without dips in the surface.
A FamBed mattress adapts to your body and provides support where needed but quickly regains its shape thanks to the natural latex core in the topper and the reversible spring mattress with two comfort levels – one medium and one firm side. We recommend the firm side, while the medium can be used if you prefer a slightly softer feel.

Slightly Lower than Most Beds
A common misconception, driven by marketing in the bedding industry, is that a higher bed means a better bed – but that’s not true.
While a tall bed may look more luxurious, it adds unnecessary materials and production complexity that you pay for without gaining extra comfort. FamBed is designed with comfort, safety, and affordability in mind.
Since extra height doesn’t provide more comfort – and higher beds mainly benefit older adults with mobility issues – we designed FamBed at a slightly lower height. This makes it easier and safer for small children to climb in and out independently.
It also allows us to offer a high-quality bed at a more accessible price for families with young children – without compromising comfort or safety.
A lower bed height also reduces the risk of injury if someone accidentally rolls out of bed.

Modular Design
FamBed family beds are built with a modular design, consisting of several connected mattress and frame sections. This is necessary to make production, transport, and delivery of such large beds possible.
…BUT – we guarantee you won’t feel the joins in the bed. While the modular foundation may sound like a weakness, it’s actually a great strength with several advantages:
The modular design allows you to expand or reduce your bed as your family grows or children move into their own rooms. All you need are new covers for the separated sections, turning one large bed into a “junior bed” and a smaller double for the parents.
The slight internal separations (which you don’t feel) help reduce motion transfer – ideal for co-sleeping, especially if someone moves a lot during sleep.
If a section of the bed ever gets damaged, you can replace just that part instead of the entire bed – making it more sustainable and cost-effective.
In practice, a full one-piece frame or oversized mattress would be impossible to transport or fit into most homes – not to mention the high shipping costs such a bed would cause.
See the modular structure in this video and learn how you can combine or separate FAMBED foundations into multiple beds.
Terms and Conditions
Our FAMBED® 60-Day Sleep Guarantee is an extraordinary service we choose to offer our customers voluntarily, even though EU law does not require returns for custom-made products.
We know that buying a bed is a major decision that affects your family’s sleep quality – which is why we make returns possible under certain conditions:
Try it for at least 30 days – It always takes some time to adjust to a new bed and sleeping environment. We therefore require that you use the bed for at least 30 days before deciding to return it.
Return handling and shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility – both practically and financially. Our trusted logistics partner offers fair return rates, and we’re happy to assist, but the responsibility remains with you.
A recycling fee applies to all returns. We prioritize sustainability and reuse as many parts of the bed as possible (springs, wood frame, foam layers, etc.). However, textiles and topper foam are recycled externally through furniture and textile recycling, which involves handling costs. Therefore, a fixed recycling fee of 2,000 DKK is deducted and non-refundable.
