Terms and conditions for shopping at Fambed.com

The majority of Fambed's products are made to order. Please note that we will charge your payment method before we start production of your items, typically 1-2 days after ordering.

On fambed.dk you can pay without fees using: Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, etc. See payment options at checkout.

Account details entered when purchasing goods are encrypted (SSL), sent to our payment processors Stripe or Clearhaus depending on payment method, and only you and the processor have access to this information.

At FAMBED® we sell products in special sizes and produce your order on demand. We charge payment when production starts and the right of return is waived for custom-made products such as family beds, fitted sheets, bed valances, and mattress toppers. However, we offer a 60-day sleep guarantee on our family beds. Read more in the section "60-Day Sleep Guarantee on Family Beds".

When paying with "buy now pay later" solutions via Anyday or Klarna, an agreement is made between you and the provider. This agreement is not the responsibility of Fambed; we merely offer the service as a convenience.

For further information, we recommend obtaining details directly from Klarna or Anyday's websites in your country.

Delivery by freight carrier (family beds, extension beds, headboards)

Delivery of beds and headboards is carried out by a freight carrier who will contact you prior to delivery to ensure you are available to receive your item. Delivery time is flexible and arranged on a date of your choice within a specified time window. The bed is delivered to the kerbside, so you are responsible for carrying the bed inside.


Heavy parcel shipments (mattress toppers)

Our mattress toppers are delivered with Bring in Scandinavia, and with UPS in the rest of Europe. We only offer delivery to home addresses as the items are too large and heavy for parcel shops.


Smaller parcel shipments

Smaller parcels are delivered with Bring in Scandinavia, and with UPS in the rest of Europe. "Smaller parcels" include, among others, fitted sheets, mattress toppers, bed valances, bed legs, bed bridges, nursing lamps, mattress protectors, etc.


Delivery Time

Please allow between 4 and up to 8 weeks for delivery if your order contains a family bed, mattress topper, headboard, fitted sheets, or bed valance. Usually, we can deliver within around 4 weeks, but we allow extra time for holidays, public holidays, or unforeseen delays, so you hopefully have a positive purchase experience with us rather than us promising more than we can deliver.

If your order does not contain a family bed, mattress topper, headboard, fitted sheets, or bed valance, we usually deliver within 2-6 working days.

You will be notified with Track & Trace messages when your order is dispatched.

60-Day Sleep Guarantee on the FamBed Family Bed (not DIY)

Our FAMBED® 60-Day Sleep Guarantee is an extended service we as a company choose to offer our customers exceptionally, even though under EU law we are not obliged to offer returns, as our beds are made specifically for you on your order.

Other products made to order

The usual right of withdrawal you have as a customer when shopping online is waived when you order the following products:

  • FAMBED® Fitted Sheets
  • FAMBED® Bed Valance
  • FAMBED® Mattress Topper
  • FAMBED® Extension Bed
  • FAMBED® Headboard
  • FAMBED® Cover

The right of return is waived because these are produced to order according to your requested measurements. It is therefore not possible to cancel or return these items once production has started, which occurs 2-4 days after your order.

If you need to make changes or wish to cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible after placing your order so we can adjust it before production begins.Regular stock itemsIf your order contains one or more regular stock items, you as a consumer have a 14-day right of withdrawal when shopping with us. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day you receive your item. If you have ordered several different items in one order but they are delivered separately, the period runs from the day you receive the last item.You cannot cancel the purchase by refusing to accept the item without also informing us.

When you shop with us as a consumer, the Sale of Goods Act applies. This means you have a 24-month warranty period. If your claim is justified, you can either have the item repaired, exchanged, refunded, or receive a price reduction, depending on the specific situation. You must make a claim within a “reasonable time” after discovering the fault. If you make a claim within two months of discovering the fault, the claim will always be considered timely. If the claim is justified, we will refund your (reasonable) shipping costs. The item must always be returned in secure packaging. Please also obtain a receipt for postage so we can reimburse your shipping costs. When returning the item, please include a detailed description of the problem.
