Privacy policy
We look after your data and only collect what we need to deliver your order and give good service. Here's the overview.
What we collect
When you shop or contact us, we process your name, address, email, phone number and order details. Payment details are handled securely by our payment partner (Stripe). We never see or store your card details.
Why
We use the data to process and deliver your order, provide customer service, meet our legal obligations (e.g. accounting) and, if you've opted in, send you relevant news.
Comments and messages on Facebook and Instagram
When you comment on our posts or ads (including in threads) or message us on Messenger or Instagram, we receive this information from Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. through Meta's API: - The text, the time, the post or ad it belongs to and the number of likes. - Facebook: your name and an ID that only applies to our Page. Instagram: your username and an ID that only applies to our account. We do not collect your email, phone number, profile picture or friends list. We use the information to reply to you and to moderate our own pages. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). When we reply on Facebook, we may tag you so you are notified. We only tag the person we reply to. Only FamBed staff see the information, in our internal tool, which requires login with two-factor authentication. We never use it for advertising or profiling.
AI assistance with replies
The text of the comment or message, the other comments in the same thread (with name or username where we have it) and the text of our post are sent to our processor OpenAI. The AI sorts the comment, translates it into Danish for our staff and suggests a reply. Based on this sorting, a comment may also be liked or hidden automatically on our own pages. A staff member reads, edits and sends every reply themselves, and no reply is sent automatically. OpenAI processes data in the USA.
Retention and deletion
We delete comments, messages and related information from our tool no later than 2 years after they were written. Want them deleted sooner? Email hello@fambed.com with your name or username and whether it concerns Facebook or Instagram. We will delete the comments, messages and information about you stored in our tool within 30 days and confirm this. You can delete your own comment on Facebook or Instagram yourself, and you can ask us to delete our reply.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@fambed.com and we'll help.
Data processors
We only share your data with trusted processors that help us run the shop: Stripe (payments), Neon (database, hosted in the EU), Vercel (website hosting and server functions in the USA) and OpenAI (AI sorting, translation and suggested replies, USA). They process data solely on our instructions under a data processing agreement, and we never sell your data. When data is processed in the USA, this is based on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Data controller
The data controller is FAMBED ApS, company reg. no. (CVR) DK43444875, Sct. Mortens Gade 6, st. tv., 4700 Næstved, Denmark (FamBed is a brand of FAMBED ApS). You can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (datatilsynet.dk) if you believe we handle your data incorrectly.
